He's renowned for his sharp wit and humorous skits, and on Friday afternoon talk show host Jimmy Kimmel got his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
The ceremony took place in front of the El Capitan Theater on Hollywood Boulevard, where Jimmy's show is recorded.
The late-night talk show host was joined by his fiancée, Molly McNearney, his parents, and former intern, Carson Daly.

The funnyman received the 2,489th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, one day before the 10th anniversary of the premiere of his ABC late-night talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live!
The ceremony comes 17 days after Jimmy Kimmel Live moved to 11:35pm, after airing at midnight since its debut. It now starts at the same time as Jay Leno's NBC show and the Late Show with David Letterman on CBS.

Kimmel began working in radio in 1984 when he was still in high school, hosting a Sunday night interview show on the University of Nevada Las Vegas' station, KUNV-FM.
He began his television career in 1997 as co-host of the Comedy Central game show Win Ben Stein's Money, sharing the Daytime Emmy Award for outstanding game show host with Stein in 1999.

Jimmy, 45, said the last two days have been a roller coaster.
'Last night, Matt Damon hijacked the show, and today I'm getting a star on Hollywood Boulevard,' he mused of Thursday's show, in which Damon 'hijacked' proceedings.
A gaggle of messages from Jennifer Lopez, Sally Field, John Krasinski, Robert De Niro, Don Cheadle and Oprah Winfrey were played in support of Damon.
'You have a gift, my friend,' Winfrey said. 'Not everybody can host a show. I know that is true. Great job.'
'Jimmy always wanted to be an actor,' Damon explained, 'and, unfortunately for him, I beat him out for every role he ever truly wanted. Jimmy has auditioned for every movie I've ever been in, every single one of them. How many did he get? None. So, he hates me.'

Then the guests began, first up was Nicole Kidman (who said she would never do Kimmel's show because he 'f****** sucks'), Gary Oldman and Amy Adams.
Then Reese Witherspoon wandered in off the street after a alcohol-buying spree at liquor store BevMo and Demi Moore left her bike with Andy Garcia and popped in.
But Damon saved the best for last, however: an interview with Kimmel's ex-girlfriend Sarah Silverman.
'Is there anything you'd like to say to Jimmy?' Damon asked, gesturing to the still-tied-up-and-gagged late-night host. 'He's a captive audience.'
Silverman looked at her ex for a second and said, 'No, I'm good.'
