t's not unreasonable to say that Arnold Schwarzenegger is a loyal man when it comes to haircut. 

More faithful, it's also fair to say, than he was to his wife Maria Shriver, as Arnie, now 65, has sported the same short back and sides... with a slight quiff... for around twenty years. 

But no more as the former governor of California was spotted in his affluent suburb of California sporting an extraordinary (as in awful) 'bowl' haircut on Saturday.

Now, this is a look gaining popularity with the hipster population of LA further east in Los Feliz and Silverlake, the Mail Online can reliably inform you... but we doubt Arnie is trying to be hip. 

In fact, it's much likely that the Austrian born Terminator legend is enduring the cut for one of his new films having dipped his toe (and his biceps) back into the acting pool. 

Both The Unknown Soldier and Captive could necessitate a cut like this so it's a sure bet that Arnie is suffering for his art and given that most of his roles see him playing himself, or a mechanoid version of himself, it's interesting to see him getting into character.
