your post inspired me to write something....I may never get to shake his hand, or chase the silhouette,, but I can see it through the sounds, vibrations paint pictures of a man wearing jeans that wore his feet, that wore the earth, see everything he touched became more than just abstractions of mundane quotidian lapses of time; they’re the way light escapes cracks, the reason wrinkles in a forehead get so deep, the street you forget to cross and instead go ahead and listen closer. Some messages get lost and bottles carry on, waves continue to crash left and right, and you can feel the moonlight creeping down your neck, breath getting deeper and deeper, and you feel the force that holds on to that last bit of hope, the first bit of inspiration; the first check that paves the way for fifty pounds to turn to ten, the door you decide is worth walking through and 1964 happens all over again,,budding dirt dwellers realize the meaning of life, some bright eyes shed tears, and a shaky hand pens the most inspired homage he can think of,,all because one time happened over and over again, not because of selfishness but self actualization, storm clouds always come around now and then, but the sun definitely hasn't set on the grand canyon....Happy Birthday Bob Dylan!
