Worried viewers won't understand her? Cher Lloyd rocks DWTS in cutesy tutu... but Malvern accent is granted no interview time
Cher Lloyd has continued on her quest
to conquer America - although it seems she may suffer the same fate as
Geordie Cheryl Cole with locals not understanding her.
The X Factor star made an appearance on the Dancing With The Stars results show, which saw Joey Fatone become the second casualty after Pamela Anderson's early exit, singing track Want U Back.
But the 19-year-old was given no air time to speak to co-host Tom Bergeron about her new record.
Wearing a typically elaborate outfit,
Cher took to the stage in a tutu mini dress with sequin heart,
complemented by a large heart pendant, angsty boots to stomp in, and a
cutesy glittery microphone.
As she performed, the former reality show star was surrounded by stilt walkers juggling fire, various circus theatrics and a popcorn machine.
However, when she signed off from prancing around the DWTS stage, and Tom revealed her album was out today, the Malvern songbird wasn't given a chance to speak to viewers watching at home.
As well as her individual style and sound, Lloyd is known for her strong Worcestershire accent.
Cher has certainly come a long way
since finishing fourth place in the UK X Factor back in 2010, making her
US TV talkshow debut on Monday on the Ellen DeGeneres Show.
It comes as the singer-rapper prepares to release her album Stick + Stones in America today, which secured a No.4 chart position in the UK last November.
Cher - mentored by Cole on the show two years ago - has already started to make waves in the US.
She appeared on America's Got Talent
back in July - her US TV debut - and also secured a No12 position
with her single on the Billboard Hot 100.
Of course she does have Simon Cowell behind her - who has been shipping his British stars out across the Pond in earnest, with the likes of hot exports One Direction leading the way.
Lloyd looked fantastic for her performance on Ellen, slipping into a short pink dress and white top.
While only two years ago she was being mentored by Cole - the tables have well and truly turned.
Last year, of course, Cheryl had an made an ill-fated foray on to US television as an X Factor USA judge. But just a few weeks into the job she was sacked and replaced by Nicole Scherzinger.
